Drop-Off/Shipping Instructions
In-Person Drop-Off Instructions:
- All firearms being dropped-off in person must be unloaded. This means detachable magazines must be removed as well.
- All firearms dropped-off must be either cased (hard or soft) or with muzzle(s) pointed straight up. Actions must be locked open.
- Refrain from cycling any action or displaying firearms more than necessary in public.
- Concealed/Open carry on the premises is authorized but must remain concealed or holstered. Do not withdraw your firearm even if it is your intent to have it serviced. If your carry gun is what is being worked on, bring it in using the guidelines above.
- During operating hours:
- Tue – Thu 12:00pm to 6:00pm.
- I recommend calling/texting with your ETA. This helps me plan my day.
- Non-business days: by appointment only. Feel free to call/text at a reasonable hour, but understand I may not be available to meet you at the shop on your timeline.
- Knowingly stolen firearms are not accepted. All firearms will have their the manufacturer and serial checked prior to acceptance. Just don’t do it.
- Firearms with purposefully obliterated serial numbers are not accepted.
- If you don’t like dogs or are afraid of them, please let me know ahead of time and I’ll send the furry customer service representative to the car or the other side of the shop.
- If the door is locked without a sign indicating a temporary absence, knock fairly loudly and wait a minute. I’m probably finishing a precise cut on the lathe. If still no answer, call. I may be shoveling snow or walking the shop dog nearby.
Shipping Instructions:
-
- A copy of the shipper’s driver’s license must be included with the shipment or have been received electronically.
- It is highly recommended to take note of your firearm(s) make/model/serial and email that information to us with the inbound tracking information.
- Return shipping charges after work is completed will be added to the invoice unless the customer provides a shipping label. Exceptions to this is any warranty work being performed.
- Delivery Ship-To address will likely be different than the business premises. This address will be provided when I provide our FFL or provide authorization to ship your work to the shop.
- Shipping a firearm without any head’s up or prior discussion of the project may cause a delay in the start of your work.
- Remove all unnecessary parts/accessories not required for the work performed to keep your shipping costs lower and avoid shop labor hours to reinstall.
